I am a woman who loves life and laughter, who is passionate about making a difference in the world everyday. I believe from every negative comes a positive ...always! The soft caress of the wind feels like the touch of an invisible friend. The wonders of an early morning sunrise over the ocean or its exquisite departure til the break of day create a canvas from which words flow. I see music as a refuge from life?s daily stresses.

WHAT I KNOW FOR SURE

During my lifetime, I have learned many lessons and come to know many truths. If you choose to know and see yourself as successful, you will be successful. If you wake each morning choosing to give your all, you will end each day without regret. If you choose to begin each new day with gratitude, blessings will surround you. If you make a choice to look for the goodness in people, you will catch them doing wonderful things. When you are respectful, you will come to gain respect. If you learn from challenges, you will always be in a transition of growth. If you choose to know all possibilities exist, the word impossible will cease to exist in your everyday language. If you daily seek Truth, you will come to know Wisdom. You are who you think yourself to be!

As you may have guessed I cherish words, for within me lies a writer who knows the story I have to share impacts other people. I see myself as the author of my own story; on a journey that holds excitement and mystery simultaneously. "If", as Shakespeare wrote, "the world is a stage', then I and I alone have been the producer and writer of my own life. I have enjoyed the story thus far and look forward to the chapters yet to be written.

I would like to attract someone who knows what he wants from life, gets swept away by the genius of music, understands loving another will not detract from his masculinity, can spread laughter contagiously, has compassion for others and knows the true definition of partnership. If this is you then please drop me a line and say hello.

To end, I would like to say I think I am like the old man in the following story. Read on and see why I say that with pride. I am not sure who wrote "The Perfect Heart", but it has always been one of my favorites and always, always makes me cry "perfect" tears!


The PERFECT HEART


One day a young man was standing in the middle of the town proclaiming that he had the most beautiful heart in the whole valley. A large crowd gathered and they all admired his heart for it was perfect. There was not a mark or a flaw in it. Yes, they all agreed it truly was the most beautiful heart they had ever seen. The young man was very proud and boasted more loudly about his beautiful heart.


Suddenly, an old man appeared at the front of the crowd and said, "Why your heart is not nearly as beautiful as mine." The crowd and the young man looked at the old man's heart. It was beating strongly, but full of scars, it had places where pieces had been removed and other pieces put in, but they didn't fit quite right and there were several jagged edges. In fact, in some places there were deep gouges where whole pieces were missing.

The people stared - how can he say his heart is more beautiful, they thought? The young man looked at the old man's heart and saw its state and laughed. "You must be joking, " he said. "Compare your heart with mine, mine is perfect and yours is a mess of scars and tears."

"Yes, " said the old man, "Yours is perfect looking but I would never trade with you. You see, every scar represents a person to whom I have given my love - I tear out a piece of my heart and give it to them, and often they give me a piece of their heart which fits into the empty place in my heart, but because the pieces aren't exact, I have some rough edges, which I cherish, because they remind me of the love we shared.
Sometimes I have given pieces of my heart away, and the other person hasn't returned a piece of his heart to me. These are the empty gouges> Giving love is taking a chance. Although these gouges are painful, they stay open, reminding me of the love I have for these people too, and I hope someday they may return and fill the space I have waiting. So now do you see what true beauty is?"


The young man stood silently with tears running down his cheeks. He walked up to the old man, reached into his perfect young and beautiful heart, and ripped a piece out. He offered it to the old man with trembling hands. The old man took his offering, placed it in his heart and then took a piece from his old scarred heart and placed it
in the wound in the young man's heart. It fit, but not perfectly, as there were some jagged edges. The young man looked at his heart, not perfect anymore but more beautiful than ever, since love from the old man's heart flowed into his. They embraced and walked away side by side.

How sad it must be to go through life with a whole heart.

Someone once told me the first date isn't until you meet an few times and decided you wanted to spend an evening out together. I am not sure how I feel about that definition. I believe I intuitively know when I look in someone's eyes and feel his presence whether it is a meeting or a date that writes itself on a piece of my heart forever.

Sky diving would be a blast. Whether I would jump or have to be pushed is the question.
