Separated, busy with work and kids, but missing the connection with someone special. Know the feeling?

First, a little something about me. I am 6'2" and 220 lbs., consciously attempting to strike the right balance between eating and exercise. I work out a couple of days a week to stay in shape and try to eat well despite a crazy work schedule and responsibility to my kids. I do wish more of the top of my balding head was covered by the salt and pepper hair that remains.

I am fortunate to have a flexible arrangement which enables me to have dinner with my kids at least a couple of nights a week and portions of most weekends. I am actively involved in their activities (coaching, encouraging from the audience, shuttling them around) and I thoroughly enjoy the time I spend with them. They are without question my greatest accomplishment.

My career path has taken me to Washington for a stint with a Cabinet department before embarking on service to three local governments in Connecticut and then to greater Boston. If you were to ask them, my friends will describe me as bright, articulate, organized, and a leader in my field. I am a dedicated and committed professional, spending long days due to early morning and evening meetings in support of volunteer citizen committees.

Despite my busy professional and parenting responsibilities, I miss the connection of a romantic relationship with that special someone. You will find that I am a hopeless romantic, someone who is attentive and caring and believes in spontaneous, "just because" gestures to let you know you are on my mind. I enjoy exploring new restaurants or cooking a meal together while sharing a bottle of wine.

I will connect best with someone who is bright, articulate, intellectually curious, caring, romantic, energetic and possesses a great sense of humor. You have that indescribable and irresistible presence that lights up a room. You have loved before, learned much from the experience, and aren't afraid to find love again. You understand that compromise and consensus are the keys to any successful relationship. You are a terrific Mom to your children and you thoroughly treasure your time with them. You balance the challenges of a successful career, the responsibilities of single parenthood, and are ready to carve out some time to share with a romantic partner to add happiness to your already great life.
