Each day brings a new set of challenges and emotions, from laughter at crazy things that happen to the chance to show compassion to a person in need. My recent divorce has brought a change in my personal life. You have the opportunity to be a part of a new chapter. The excitement and wonder of a child experiencing life is a blessing that every parent shares. I adopted my ex wife’s four children who are now grown (28m, 22m, 20f, 17f). We had one child together, a son, who just turned 14 and lives with me. We are active in Boy Scouts together and enjoy playing board or card games at night. Scouting gives us the chance to camp and do a variety of outdoor activities. One of the craziest things we have done is to go on a one mile long zip line ride. Taking a trip to the beach or swimming at the pool are great family events. We intend to have loads of fun at Carrowinds this summer. Spending time at a bed and breakfast is a great way for couples to recharge. Have you ever been to Ashville in the fall? Growing up on a farm showed me the beauty of God’s creation. Whether laughing at Sheldon Cooper, cheering for the Panthers, or playing with the kids I want to share my life with someone else. |
