I am a 33 year old single mum to a 10 year old child. I work part time and am currently preparing to finish my fourth year for a Bachelor of Psychology. I tend to be very psychologically minded and one's physical, mental and emotional wellbeing is of paramount importance to me, particularly when it comes to children.
As for me personally, I would have loved to have had another child/ren at some point but have so far been unlucky in love and as yet, failed to find someone with whom I would want to have more children with.
Besides enjoying anything to do with psychology, I also enjoy being around animals, photography, reading, computers, being outdoors and at one with nature, and spending quality time with my child.
As for my parenting philosophy, I am totally anti- smacking and prefer to raise my child through discussion and explanations of how and why things are the way they are. This is not to say that I do not give consequences but rather that my consequences of good and bad behaviour are by way of positive reinforcement and the addition or withdrawal of privileges.
I am a non-smoker who has been reformed for almost a year. As such, I do not drink, or else will only drink a little, due to my fear of giving in to temptation, should I allow myself to get too tipsy.
I am looking for someone who shares my beliefs and values and with whom I could share my life with.
