I love life, have experienced a lot and know what makes me happy. No family can survive long term, if the adult companion relationship is not a priority, is not solid and well maintained. I enjoy being a father, a companion as well as being in a family environment. I enjoy making time for my family and look forward to seeing them when I'm away. Overall I love kids Have been a step-parent and enjoyed being married. I look forward to that possibility again in the future with the right person but I'm in no hurry as I want to be certain the next time around. I believe dating someone simply for a momentary good time can be hurtful unless its mutually understood for what it is. After many years in Law Enforcement, I'm a realist and usually able to feel a person out the first time we meet. Being a responsible father, I have found that many great women lack that natural parental instinct and that has been disappointing as it has made me uncomfortable when considering a long term relationship. My two little girls (4 & 6) are my reward for living a good life. They are awesome to interact with, loving and have been raised to understand responsibility and respect. I have found that the unconditional love they give me fills my heart with the every day joy I would like to receive from a companion. I hope to find someone who has been there and done that so they can appreciate a good man, father and companion that enjoys sharing life's travels. Someone who understands that relationships with kids are different because they can effect a child's view of what companionship and love should be. I have tried hard to be the best man I can. To set a good example for my kids and others around me. I look proudly in the mirror every day to shave and contemplate the man I've been. Those who know me best frequently recall memorable times spent in my company. I'm a giver and love to share.
