I was left with my three boys nearly two years ago after 20yrs of marriage. We have all adapted well after the initial trauma and I now work on a dairy farm in Otago. I was 25 yrs as a chef and also worked in horticulture for 10 yrs. I enjoy dairying and although the hours are a tad earlier than I have been used to at least I have work with a lovely home on the farm with spectacular views, and can earn to continue watching my boys 13, 10 and 7 grow and develope in a wonderful part of NZ, but being quite remote would not suit everyone I admit 1 1/2 hrs Dunedin 1hr Alexandra.

I like a simple life and since becoming a Christian nearly 8 yrs ago have a different focus now with what is and isn't important in life. The country is a great place to raise kids as they have a different set of values being so close to nature and so far from some of the distractions/temptations of more urban areas and it gives them a chance to develope more as nature intended.

The area school here is great about 200 kids and the bus stops at the bottom of the hill about 500mtres away.I am committed to my boys 100% but would really enjoy the friendship of a lady as even with the boys it can be a bit lonely sometimes.I never before realised how enjoyable a simple cuddle with a lady actually is until you no longer get one. I am a pretty easy going sort who likes the countryside,driving, golf(don't play any more), watching Rugby particularly when we beat either Aussie or England and watching the boys have fun. We have no other family in NZ as I emigrated from the UK back in 96. I may have a couple of beers every two or three months or so but am not really that bothered as I do not believe alcohol and kids mix anyway, I also can get all the lift I need by realising after all that has happened my boys are still very well grounded and we are all fed, housed and clothed thanks to Gods good Grace and have a good future here with my current employers. I have very little apart from my sense of humour which has been a huge help, my sincerity and honesty and am very realistic about any possabilities of having another meaningful, romantic relationship( with a female, goes without saying).

I suppose if asked what would be my complete dream scenario my answer would go something like this.

To meet, get to know and grow close to a lady who still may have children at home and has a desire to meet a genuine guy and share her life and childrens lives with him and his family. This fictitious person would enjoy a simple country life and may even want to try working on a dairy farm themselves.

I have a lot of love left to give and have not been left bitter and twisted as some do which is a sad shame and waste in my opinion.Some serious girlie balance would be brilliant in our "boys own" home and having buried our stillborn daughter in 2000 would be a complete joy to be able to share the daughter of a new partner. I have mentioned my Faith a few times and wish to point out being a Christian does not make me perfect far from it, neither does it make me weird, it just means I have the knowledge that when I die it is only my current body that does that and I have a future in eternity to look forward to, pretty cool actually. You may or may not have a Faith yourself and that is between you and God not something for me to push you into, so you will not be "Bible bashed". I try to be the best role model I can for the childen but constantly struggle because I am not perfect but do the best I can.

Very importantly I am very low tech,a phone is for ringing people on and the computer, well, although a few simple tasks I can achieve to the greater part is a mystery to me, the age thing I think.

I have no idea why I decided to do this today as this is the first time I have ever got involved with one of these sites and I am pretty sure after seeing how boring compared to many others my situation is will be the end as well, but time will tell.
